It’s easy and fun! Fun? Yes, because our assembly instructions manuals are on cool videos and you can check them out before ordering if you wish to. Just go to the page(s) of the product(s) you’re interested in and press play. Still, if you prefer to read like in the old days, you can find the downloadable manuals on PDF in the same page(s).

Regarding product robustness, our products are designed by a Mechanical Engineer and tested to ensure they withstand the use they are intended for. When applicable, product design follows European design standards, for instance EN-747 standard. Our kids’ product, Rockah, has been already successfully tested with children, teenagers and adults without any performance problems or failures as well as sold to a number of families without any damage report.
Each unique piece of furniture by Movendo holds thousands of options and combinations of these options except for Rockah, our most standardised piece (variants are colour and adding an adhesive to the surface or not). You’ll find variants in the configurator concerning colours, finishings and dimensions besides what’s most unusual in this customisable furniture market which is the possibility of choosing components such as open or closed boxes, drawers or boxes, these boxes’ configurations (positions in the piece of furniture) etc. For an example, our most customisable piece, Susie, is a shoe rack whose structure depends on the number of shoes the customer has or wishes to place on it. Our goal is to deliver the most exclusive piece as possible for the customer and we’ll be constantly working on offering the biggest variety of what we call structural customisation as our business grows.

Orders
You’ll use our intuitive online configurator on your desktop, laptop or mobile through our e-commerce in order to choose all the features of the furniture and then add it to the cart just like in any online purchase you’re used to. And never mind about shipping, it’s free!

We have an estimated production time for your furniture when you use our intuitive online configurator which is going to be adjusted as you apply changes to your piece. Delivery times vary depending on two factors: the features (finishings, colours, dimensions, components) of your piece and the number of orders in our production queue.
As soon as the order is sent to the logistics company you’ll get a notification with a link to track your package.
No. Because once your order is submitted, it is sent directly to production from our server to the factory’s digital machinery. However, if this change is essential, we can try to help you out so please send an email to myorder@movendo.store.
Shipping & Returns
Delivery depends on the production but we work with an estimate between 4 and 8 weeks. As soon as your order is ready, we’ll contact you via email with all the delivery details.
Wait for your flat pack(s) to arrive which is/are carefully delivered by one of the companies we partner with.
We apologise for that. Unfortunately we can’t always prevent damages from occurring. If there were transportation damages that affected the furniture, please take a picture of the damaged product, inform the delivery employee and only sign the acceptance form provided indicating the transport damages if possible. It’ll help us to help you if you send the order number, reason for your complaint and pictures (please don’t forget to take a picture of the packaging) and email this information to myorder@movendo.store.
Please inform us on myorder@movendo.store. We’ll replace it as quickly as possible and humbly apologise with a discount voucher in your next purchase.
Payments
We use Shopify Payments which will take VISA, Mastercard, Amex, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, GooglePay, Paypal, and Klarna.
Your shipping and billing information is securely stored on Shopify’s PCI compliant servers and is only shared with your store if an order is placed.

Shopify uses an accelerated checkout that lets you save your email address, credit card, and shipping and billing information. This can save you time when you check out.

Because our furniture wouldn’t exist without technology from its conception to the way it reaches customers. More than a tool that makes designing and producing furniture possible for us, technology is the main force that drives us to turn customisable furniture into a reality for as many people as possible.
Yes. Our sustainability relies on three vectors: on-demand production which is much more sustainable than mass standard manufacturing with lots of pieces in stock; production decentralisation which means to sell the closest as possible to where we produce by making partnerships with local smart factories; using CNC machinery leading to a reduction of material waste.
Movendo began as an interior design studio and furniture’s small digital manufacturing unit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2017. Back then, we were offering bespoke interior projects and digitally fabricated furniture based on parametric design, allowing clients to interchange components. Since the beginning we were concerned with making a difference in people’s lives so, in 2018, we launched our PlayWork, a home office to integrate parents and their kids, at an important local exhibition https://www.casanatoca.com.br/casa/home-office/. That was before Covid made it clearer than ever that working from home and adjusting families’ realities to this demand would result in an irreversible trend.
Then, in 2020, after Movendo’s founders moved to Portugal and the pandemic erupted, they began to study the process of turning a studio into a scalable operation with third party’s production. In 2021, they started a process in an incubator and were funded by the second semester of 2022, starting to prepare their 100% digital platform to be launched in 2023. Leïlah Accioly, the creator and CEO and Daniel Bruno, the maker and CTO. He is a very experienced mechanical engineer who acted in high-end technological companies such as an aviation company where he was a product developer while she’s an artist, interior designer and Communication strategist with both creative and corporate experience.

No, one more app? We believe that we’re in a stage in which people are overwhelmed by storage space in their devices so we prefer to avoid putting out a low usage app. Our configurator offers everything our customer needs to choose the best piece of furniture and check how it’s going to look and “behave” in their space thanks to AR which is already integrated with our configurator.

We’re a global company once 4.0 industry enables us to produce and deliver furniture wherever 4.0 factories and customers are but we’re currently based in Portugal.
No, for now we’re a 100% digital operation and it’s important to state that we sell on-demand furniture which means that we don’t operate with stocks.
Not yet but we’re working to make Movendo available through multibrand stores all over Europe. Still, it’s important to state that since we produce on-demand it’s not likely that we’ll have furniture to display except if we decide to do some special MKT action.
